PrecisePK has been in the industry for many years, formerly known as TDMS, and hence stands out as a top therapeutic drug monitoring platform due to its history. The new version is amazing visually and user-friendly too, requiring minimal training.

The unique features of this platform that I find especially helpful for patient care are flexibility in selecting neonatal, pediatric and adult models to ensure you select the best Bayesian prior for your patient population; and adjustment for special populations, including obese, critically-ill status and post-cardiac surgery.

" I personally found PrecisePK very helpful. Not only is it easy to navigate... I like how there are multiple vancomycin regimen options to work with, in addition to the ability to compare trough versus AUC, and individual versus population dosing. I like how you can dose on not only vancomycin but on other medications that need pharmacokinetic monitoring. "

" The program has helped my research become vastly more efficient due to the ease of inputting patient information and determining dosing recommendations… PrecisePK has been the most reliable dosing tool that I’ve used for daily vancomycin dosing and other research pursuits. "

With Bayesian-guided dosing software, complex calculation can be done easily, yielding more accurate results while only requiring a single blood level draw. In contrast, traditional calculation of AUC involves tedious manual calculation and two blood level draws. This increases cost, time taken and typically results in underestimation, decreasing dose efficacy.

Bayesian-guided dosing uses Bayes’ theorem with population PK parameters as Bayesian prior and a patient’s observed serum concentrations to calculate the Bayesian posterior PK parameters. Using this to derive an individualized PK profile, PrecisePK can largely reduce toxicity and improve dosing efficacy with potentially lower costs.

What You Can Do With PrecisePK

By providing recommendations and visualizations based on an individualized approach rather than a general approach, patients can reach their therapeutic targets more efficiently. As PrecisePK gathers more data from your patient records, it will automatically adjust its models to help you dose quickly, safely, and accurately.
Obtain precise and individualized dosage recommendations
Therapeutic Target form with empty fields for Target, Desired AUC24, MIC, Next Date, Next Time, and Interval, followed by Dosing Recommendation section showing two AUC24 values, 453 in orange and 647 in blue, with corresponding Loading Dose and Maintenance Dose values below, each with an Add Dose button.
Analyze results with interactive graphs
Serum Level Graph showing population and individual serum levels over time from July 10, 2020, to August 24, 2020, with population levels in orange and individual levels in blue, indicating peaks corresponding to dosing events. A yellow line marks the toxicity threshold while a light grey line marks the therapeutic range. The population peaks reach up to 395.5, and individual peaks reach 415.1, with a detailed inset focusing on earlier data points from August 21 to August 23. Markers highlight the current serum levels near August 22-23, showing individual levels slightly above population levels.
Compare outcomes with population-based models
Table titled Serum Concentration Prediction comparing Bayesian Prior and Individual values for Peak, Trough, AUC24, Average Concentration, and AUC24/MIC with numeric values in red and blue, an orange alert icon next to Bayesian Prior AUC24 value.
Obtain precise and individualized dosage recommendations
User interface showing Therapeutic Target values with empty fields for Target, AUC24, MIC, Next Dose Date, and Next Dose Time on the left, and Dosage Recommendation settings on the right with Individual tab selected, indicating dose of 1500 mg, infusion time 1.5 hours, interval 12 hours, number of doses 1, and AUC24 of 450 plus or minus 123 mg*h/L, plus a blue button labeled Add to Dosage History/Plan and a reference note for steady-state doses of 1500 mg every 12 hours.
